Framlingham Aboriginal Trust
The Framlingham Aboriginal Trust has custodial and protective responsibilities for Aboriginal cultural material as defined in the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Heritage Protection Act 1985 for coastal areas between Codrington in the west to about 1.5 km east of Lorne. Under this Act the Trust’s role is to ensure that any processes that effect Aboriginal culture, places and rights within the described boundaries are undertaken in a proper manner that includes the interests and regulatory responsibilities of the Framlingham Aboriginal Trust. The Trust can be contacted for information regarding protocols for works and development proposals and for general information regarding Aboriginal cultural heritage in the area
